Brunch Fellowship and Singing Together
The Musical Brunch Fellowship is an event of coming together to eat, sing songs of love, hope, faith and compassion. The simplicity of the event is to sit at the same table and take part of the same moment as the one next to you is experiencing. Enjoy the things that unite us across our diversities, which at this moment, is our love of food and love of music. It is asking people to come together and bring food to the dining table. It is an offer to all interested: foreign students, guest workers, asylum seekers or refugees who have gotten asylum, church goers or people of different religions and people of different nationalities regardless of sex and age. This is something we do regularly once every month but on this particular event, on February 16, we want to focus on the principle behind the celebration of UN WIFHW. And we want to see these principles of Love of God and Love of Neighbor in songs and music. The program is about eating together, and singing together songs of peace, love, friendship, joy, hope and harmony in Danish, English or in other languages. It is allowing people to suggest a song or songs they can think of, or choose a song or songs from the provided song books or song leaflets, both religious and secular. It is enabling people to be free to do simple body movements to some simple lively songs. It is allowing people to laugh, sing together and celebrate our common humanity with songs in the heart and with different food traditions and tastes. Around tables of trust, we can start building a bridge of friendship and fellowship.
