Showing Up is the First Step: A Teach-In for Peacebuilding and Social Justice. Co-facilitated by Marie Dennis (Shannon Chair lecturer) and Dr. Harry Murray (Nazareth's Sociology and Anthropology department), this teach-in will provide you with a safe space to share your curiosity, questions, and insights about nonviolence as a socio-political strategy, spiritual framework, and life commitment. Marie Dennis and Harry Murray will share their life experiences, explore the choices of figures such as Dorothy Day, Oscar Romero, Gandhi, and Martin Luther King, Jr, and support robust dialogue among/between Nazareth students. Local possibilities for nonviolent action will be explored.
