Spring Interfaith Council, in conjunction with Project Unity of Dallas, invites you to join us in a safe, online discussion to build unity.

About this event

You may have attended or heard of "dialogue dinners". At these events, host families opened their homes to a diverse array of guests who shared a meal and conversation on significant topics. It was a relaxed way to meet your neighbors and learn about sensitive topics from others’ points of view. The pandemic interfered with these successful in-person events. Now "Together We Dine – Virtual" offers a safe online way via Zoom to bring together a broad mix of people in intentional conversation. Across a virtual "table" you will share viewpoints with others who differ from you so that we can all learn from each other. Following a general introduction, Project Unity facilitators lead interactive small group discussions between participants about race relations, religion, and current events. The Spring Interfaith Council is grateful to Project Unity out of Dallas for partnering to host this event. Project Unity is a collaborative movement started in 2017 based on the faith-driven belief that what unites us is greater than what divides us. Its core focus is on building and sustaining community. “Together We Dine - Virtual” is an event open to all 18 and older, but attendees must register through this invitation. It will be held Tuesday, February 8th, from 5:30 -7:00pm. Registration closes on Monday, Feb. 7, at 3:00 PM. This is a rare opportunity to come and hear what your community is saying, and we hope you will take advantage of it. Please share this Eventbrite link. The Zoom call information will be emailed to each confirmed participant on Tuesday morning, February 8th. Check your junk mail or spam if you don’t see the confirmation.
