The Foundation NOOSFERA announced THE PROJECT “INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION 2019”. This project aims at the harmonization of inter-ethnic and inter-religious relations among teenagers. More than 1000 Russian schoolchildren will take part in the project. Specially for the competition, the foundation's specialists created a guide and a workbook “Religious Culture of the World”. These books introduce children to the five world religions: Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism. During 9 lessons, children study the history of religions, their sacred texts, creeds and rites, as well as samples of world culture that are directly related to religions: icon painting, architecture, sculpture, painting, ornament, mosaic, book miniature and others. This project contributes to the formation of universal moral values, friendly and respectful attitude towards people, regardless of their religious beliefs. Now the project is held in Russian for Russian schoolchildren, but it can be carried out with equal success anywhere in the world.
