Common Ground: The Interfaith Religious Education Project
📍 An Interfaith Training & Dialogue Event for Educators
🌍 About the Event As part of UN Harmony Week, Common Ground: The Interfaith Education Project is hosting a transformative training and engagement event for educators, aimed at curating, teaching, and discussing interfaith narratives in classrooms. Designed to promote religious literacy, pluralism, and historical inquiry, this event equips teachers with strategies to teach faith traditions in an engaging, inclusive, and intellectually rigorous way.
Through storytelling, puppetry, literature, and interactive dialogue, participants will explore how faith, history, and cultural narratives shape identity and coexistence. The event includes hands-on training for teachers, a dynamic storytelling session, and an informal "Chai & Charcha" roundtable to discuss challenges and ideas for interfaith education.
Inspired by the pluralistic and discussion-based approaches of institutions like Harvard’s Pluralism Project and Yale’s Interfaith Forum, this initiative bridges academic inquiry with real-world interfaith engagement.
Join us for the “Tales of Many Faiths” workshop at Neerja Modi School. Experience the power of puppetry and storytelling to explore diverse faith traditions. This interactive session fosters empathy, understanding, and promotes religious literacy—essential for educators and students striving for inclusivity and harmony.
