About this event
We've chosen to approach Climate Justice from several complementary angles, with panelists from different backgrounds and perspectives (photos & bios below). Each will speak briefly on different aspects of this existential challenge.
Janet Gray - the challenges we face, spiritual and practical
Sharon Welsh - the need for effective collaboration on a global level
Toni Antonia - the role of community & the individual
Tony Snow - reconnecting with Indigenous & ancestral traditions; changing our worldview
Our MC for the evening will be Dr Farouk Mitha from the UVic Faculty of Education. The event will run from 7 to 8:30 pm, with time for Q & A and small breakout rooms to discuss reactions and insights.
Spirit, Oneness & Climate Justice will be hosted by the Victoria Multifaith Society in honour of World Interfaith Harmony Week, and co-sponsored by the UVic Multifaith Centre and the Community Partnership Network of the Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria.
