URI CC Austria got the possibility to start a direct help project for a refugee camp in northern Syria on February 12th 2022. Children from Austria and in Syria got the same message with a short wool ribbon. If you are allone, you only can reach 30 centimeters. If you join your ribbons and talents, you can reach 10 meters. Money from Austria was send to the camp Mariam and so the teacher could buy sweets, dolls, footballs, rubber boots for the children, a community kitchen, ovens for bread, pots for planting seeds, trees and more for aduldts. After a storm on March 2nd we sent the money for new family tents, a school tent and a new prayer tent. It should give the old people in the camp the possibility to have a quiet place for prayers, because the next mosque is very far away. The money for running the community kitchen will be collected with birthday presents for people in Austria. Their names and day of birth will be shown in the prayer tent in the camp so that 350 people could send their beste wishes to Austria as a thank for having a good meal this day. With olive trees, grapes, rose flowers and other fruits and vegetables, to grow in the camp, and some hen for eggs, we want to offer a better food supply in the near future.
