"Praying Together in Jerusalem" is a movement whose participants believe in the power of side-by-side prayer to bring friendship, respect and, ultimately, peace between people of all faiths. Gatherings had been held monthly since October 2015 at sunset, with participants meeting at the Jaffa Gate of the Old City of Jerusalem and then moving of to learn and pray together at various venues within and outside the walls. In March, 2020, we were forced to move our meetings onto Zoom and the results have been unexpected and uplifting. Religious leaders from around the world have joined us to share their teachings; participants have come in from around the world. Our prayer-leaders - Muslim, Christian and Jewish - are in Jerusalem but those praying with us can be anywhere. Our February gathering is dedicated to World Interfaith Harmony Week and we hope that many will join us to pray for world peace.
