We recognize this century to be a crucial moment in history, a time to ensure that our children and grandchildren do not have to suffer through the horrors of tribal, ethnic, racial, cultural, religious, sectarian or caste-based violence, as well as hate crime, war, terrorism, ethnic cleansing, and genocide. It falls upon all of us to open the doors to dialogue (especially academic conversations and discussions on emerging political issues, public policies, and various practices of conflict resolution and peacebuilding), to come to truly know one another, and to take the first steps toward achieving Sustainable Development Goal 16: peace, inclusion, sustainable development, and justice. In the Fall of every year, we convene an International Conference on Ethnic and Religious Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding in New York, United States of America. Through this conference, we bridge theory, research, practice and policy. We build partnerships for inclusion, justice, sustainable development, and peace. Who Can Attend? Experts, researchers, academics, and graduate students from multidisciplinary fields; practitioners and policy makers; delegates from the councils of indigenous leaders; delegates from local and national governments; delegates from international organizations or inter-governmental agencies; delegates from civil society or nonprofit organizations and foundations; representatives from businesses or for-profit organizations; and religious leaders from many countries. Register for the upcoming conference and join us in New York in September 2023.
