Interfaith Harmony and What Connects Us As observed by the United Nations, World Interfaith Harmony Week is being celebrated globally in the first week of February. In light of this, The Pneuma Institute of Canada is delighted to welcome you to an opportunity for connection, understanding, and celebration of multiple spiritual traditions. For more than 25 years, the Pneuma Institute has been promoting international intercultural encounters and unifying dialogue with the Tibetan monks, the Qero Holy people of Peru and other spiritual traditions on the planet. We believe that human spirituality expresses in different ways in the various traditions of the world. We encourage dialogue, collaboration, and testimony from different cultures to promote unity in diversity. In this special event, we will recognize and honor the beauty and wisdom present through the virtues which connect these traditions. We will be joined by local faith leaders and community members of the various traditions below: -Hinduism -Sikhism -Pneuma -Islam -Unity -Judaism -Baha’i -Tibetan Buddhism -Ismaili The event will commence with some sacred songs of unity from Rishima Bahadoorsingh, a local international musician. Through the World Tour for Inner Peace, with the Gaden Shartse Monastery, we collaborate in spreading the spiritual tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, and sustaining and improving the quality of life in the monasteries. Inkarri Project: We work especially with the Q'ero Nation of Cusco, Peru, the last stronghold of the ancient Inca wisdom. We help support several communities by carrying out educational projects and promoting tours of Andean priests and priestesses for the recovery and maintenance of their culture, traditions, language, rituals and world view. World Day of Inner Peace: We propose October 27 as an international celebration of deep Peace.
