This year, we will be celebrating the 25^th Anniversary of the HARMONY CHAIN INITIATIVE, which started when former President of the Philippines, Joseph Estrada declared a “Total War in Mindanao.” Silsilah started another “war”, an “Armed of prayer” involving all, Christians and Muslims to pray a universal prayer called “HARMONY PRAYER”. This prayer is universal because all Muslims and Christians can properly pray it. Over the years we have ventured to spread this initiative in other countries and we ask friends to translate the prayer into many languages, not only of the Philippines, but also of other languages worldwide.

 

 

The commemoration of World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) is supported by Republic Act No. 10525, “An act declaring the First Week of February of every year as World Interfaith Harmony Week in the entire country and mandating its observance by the different Government Agencies.” and Executive Order No. JD 2025-002 by the Mayor. 

Partners of different faiths and traditions are invited to recite the Harmony Prayer in different languages.
