About this event

The Inter-Faith Forum is starting this year with a public discussion exploring the issues of faith and belief diversity. The event will be held online and will include a series of short presentations from differing perspectives that will highlight the rich diversity that has been historically present in Northern Ireland and the current contributions of diverse faith and belief communities. In this session we will hear some voices that the Inter-Faith Forum has not previously heard with Iain Deboys from Northern Ireland Humanists, Karen Sethuraman from the Baptist tradition, Naomi Green highlighting some key issues arising from her recent research on the Muslim community and Ashok Sharma giving an overview of the history of the Indian community and the activities of the Indian Community Centre. The event will be online on Zoom and will be opened with a short video introduction from the Belfast Lord Mayor, Kate Nicholl.
