Participants are looking at a tile panel (glazed fritware) from the Safavid period in 18th century Iran that illustrates verse 30 in Chapter 12 (Surah Yusuf) in the Quran, the holy scripture of Islamic faith, depicting an event from the life of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph). The Quran mentions important events from the lives of the Prophets. There are 25 Prophets of Islam mentioned by name in the Quran, many of whom were also figures who appeared in Biblical stories. ------- This initiative is organised by @iro.sg in conjunction with @wihweek with the support of @acm_sg.
