For the United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week, Alignment: Interfaith Contemplative Practices will be hosting a digital prayer wall. Community leaders can share the link to the prayer wall with their communities to participate in the events of this week through Alignment’s initiative. On this wall, participants can offer prayers and messages in the pursuit of peace and interfaith harmony. Participants from all around the world may visit the digital prayer wall which will also be shared on our website, social media platforms, newsletter, and Patheos magazine column. Those who visit will have the opportunity to leave a message on the wall which can be an image, a thought, a prayer, a song, a poem, or just a few words. They will be encouraged to share any faith traditions from which they come, as they feel comfortable. The wall will be open for the duration of the week, February 1-7, and participants can visit as often as they wish to add more messages and to read the messages left by others. Leaders of Alignment will sit vigil with the wall, holding the prayers offered. The week will culminate with an online gathering to celebrate the gifts presented on the wall and the culmination of the World Interfaith Harmony Week.
