U DAY 2018 is an international music festival promoting the values of intercultural harmony, dialogue, and spiritual unity. In celebration of the World Interfaith Harmony Week, musicians, artists, visionaries, activists and representatives of diverse faiths and worldviews will come together to celebrate our common humanity and present an optimistic vision for the future. The group will contain religious representatives, including Thai and Tibetan Buddhist monks, indigenous leaders of North and Central America and Australia, Sikhs, Bahai’s, Hindus, Jews, Orthodox and Western Christians, and Sufi Muslims. Representatives will carry and bring into sacred convergence Torches of Peace, Compassion and Unity. The events will begin on January 31st with ceremonies at Lalibela, a registered UNESCO world heritage site known for its 900-year-old monolithic rock-hewn churches – built by angels according to the Ethiopians, as a proof that God exists.
