Islamophobia Guide Book and World Conference Calls

The first draft of the Islamophobia Guide Bood was launched in conjunction with a participatory conference call attended by 500 world wide. The Guide is being updated weekly. In the Guide are a variety of resources—some are opportunities to reflect, others are more prescriptive—contextual framing from Karen Armstrong, guidance for Muslims by Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid, an overview of Islamophobia, and links to resources by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC), the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and others—many geared toward educators. Finally, a reflective article by Cambridge Muslim College dean Abdal Hakim Murad and a list of resources for further study.

Research, writing and presentation of a practical guide on Islamophobia that is available on-line through the Charter's website and is helpfully announced and linked by various organizations including the Parliament for World Religions, the United Religions Initiatives and others. In conjunction with the guide, a series of conference calls are planned throughout 2016 with specific themes. The first conference call was help on December 22 with 511 individuals registered.
