Your Majesty King Abdullah,
Your Royal Highness Prince Ghazi,
assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah wa eid mubarak
In this blessed day where the muslims celebrate the remembrance of the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim, alayhi as-salam, and his obedience with his son Isma’il to God’s order, I take this occasion to thank you for the noble proposal and presentation of the Interfaith Harmony Week at the United Nations.
In this day where all muslims celebrate the end of the holy pilgrimage to Makkah I see the ”Unity in diversity” of muslim believers from all regions of the world as the evident sign of a sacred Harmony that should be witnessed every day of the year.
This Harmony should engage every religious believer, scholar, leader as the inspirational value for a common engagement to face the spiritual opportunities and the intellectual challenges that mankind is facing in contemporary society in the West as well as in the East.
In Europe and in Italy it will be our pleasure to organise events during the first week of February in order to share this initiative and continue our responsabilities to preserve and learn from the practise of the traditional sacred wisdom of Harmony.
May Allah Ta’ala bless you and guide us all to His Holy Peace and Knowledge.
