On behalf of the members of The Interfaith Centre of Melbourne, I send our congratulations to H.M. King Abdullah 11 of Jordan for initiating the proposal to establish the World Interfaith Harmony Week at the United Nations General Assembly.
Our congratulations and support also go to H.R.H Prince Ghazi Bin Mohammed for his work as Personal Envoy and Special Advisor to the King of Jordan in introducing and explaining the draft Resolution at the UN which resulted in its adoption.
Our organization shares similar purposes in doing positive work to promote peace and harmony among people of diverse faiths and goodwill. We look forward to sharing the good news and participating in the first UN World Interfaith Harmony Week in February 2011.
