World Interfaith Harmony Week - Women of Faith: Footsteps to Whittlesea

Document (12) WHITTLESEA INTERFAITH NETWORK World Interfaith Harmony Week Women of Faith – Footsteps to Whittlesea (10th February 2021) Whittlesea Interfaith Network team had the opportunity to host a delightful virtual event this year in celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week. We had the pleasure of hosting women from all faiths in our community and shared some of the interviews we were able to record and upload to our YouTube channel, as a part of our CovidSafe plan moving forward. We understood very quickly during the first wave of COVID19 that one of our greatest challenges would be to be able to continue Interfaith engagement in person and, when necessary, virtually aswell. The interviews conducted, recorded and uploaded by the Whittlesea Interfaith team ere reflective of the journeys of several women in our community, each representing a different faith. Our diversity is our strength and we are each string advocates for World Interfaith Harmony, made possible through greater Interfaith engagement. The Zoom webinar, which is now available on our YouTube channel in full, also gave us an opportunity to share the exciting news that Whittlesea council are funding and supporting our transition towards a greater virtual presence, in order for you to continue Interfaith engagement through the pandemic. The funds are going towards establishing a dedicated website, YouTube channel, official email addresses and establishing and managing other social media pplatforms. Document (12) We are thrilled to report that with the greater virtual presence we have since been receiving greater expressions of interests from people of local faith communities, looking to participate and become active members of Whittlesea Interfaith Network.
