Rachid Saadi Youth and education on tolerance : For a new dynamic for interfaith dialogue , for a new world General Introduction inter-religious dialogue can be considered in itself as religious revolution and break cultural witnessed the second half of the twentieth century , however, and despite the extraordinary efforts of intellectuals , research institutions and the dialogue is still interfaith dialogue has not yet entered the field Hits historical Ki contribute effectively in the coexistence between religions , did not after the turn of the behavior of coexistence and tolerance for individuals and groups . There is no doubt that it can not be for fifty years of dialogue that the disintegration of Alanglaqat that took root during the centuries , and that globalization , which was supposed to contribute to the expansion of space -sharing between religions and dissolving the barriers between them delusional , devoted Back identities associated with religious fanaticism . For this , it is time to bring this revolution inside the revolution , by making the dialogue is not only the elite field , but a permanent and dynamic pattern of thinking to be established through the socialization of young people who become the guarantor 's strategic shift values of dialogue and coexistence of the civilized basis . From here, we believe that the most important media that can make young people involved in the values of dialogue and religious coexistence are educational institutions that should make the dialogue between religions and cultures not only the subject of knowledge , but a pillar of potency of intellectual and communicative among young people and in furtherance of its pioneering role in the development programs and peace sustainable . Become the relationship between young people and the dialogue of religions and sects input civilized disengagement between religious identity and violence and immunize young people against diseases extremism and alienation of identity through an open , open to the other and rooted in the inherent values of the faith . But we believe that the revolution does not mean only broaden the scope of dialogue and make it a behavior educationally but also a shift in the way of understanding the dialogue in order to make the experience of faith and sympathetic real , which necessarily requires the process of reforming religious deep engage young people in all religions, in order to get out of Alanglaqat theological feed " murderous identities " . This may mean that the emergence of a new generation of young debaters ESTABLISH a new paradigm for interfaith dialogue inside , you may ask questions and make the bolder of interfaith dialogue a way to humanise the world and the face of conflict and Saddam ignorances . This experience formed part of the project began since last year within the Regional Center for Careers Education and Training in Oujda and the Eastern Kingdom of Morocco , the primary objective is to think of religious identities and strategies for coexistence . The project was launched by the idea that the increasing globalization imposes the presence of religions in educational systems and the establishment of competencies among the teachers who will be on them , as stressed in the Charter of Education in Morocco , not only the transfer of knowledge , but also the values of tolerance, co-existence and understanding between civilizations and religions . The project has resulted last year from the completion of field research , the first of its kind at the level of the Academy, by students - professors about seeing other religions and building a culture of coexistence and tolerance Moroccan school . Proceed from the conviction that it can convert the values of tolerance and dialogue to an essential component of the educational system because the school , and by the impact of globalization , are doomed to live in multi-cultural , religious , linguistic or religious . Can be converted to dialogue between religions and educational status allows the establishment of a positive relationship with other religions , the acquisition of behavior and tolerant spirit of cash and then have the ability to employ this knowledge and this behavior in situations requiring a controversial exercise tolerance. It comes to practical experience in the field of pedagogy Almabinthagafah Pédagogie interculturelle inside the rehabilitation center secondary school teachers (specializing in French) and institutions Forums preparatory school senior engineers . The project seeks to make the concept of coexistence and dialogue as part of the construction of the intellectual and pedagogical professor or teacher and a part of the intellectual formation of the learners . Experience includes a questionnaire across from which learners and teachers from public Tmtlathm towards other religions and the possibility of coexistence with them. Revealed the answers to the group imbalances and preconceived ideas about the relationship of other religions . So we proposed in the second phase, a set of strategies to correct these representations and make the learners and teachers are engaged in the experience of dialogue through knowledge of religions and format of , and intensity of the moral and even the unity of spiritual and mystical . Generally tried to bring this experience to move from identity to identity open closed . Strategies talk shows or rediscover the cosmic space within the school Before they have a meeting with the other should be on inter-religious dialogue to be a dialogue with the self by bypassing the ideas prejudices and stereotypes and the ability to create so-called cosmic intelligence or intelligence empathic , in order to create what might be called the estimated talk shows . Compétence dialogique we propose three experiments : - Access to the cosmic and interfaith dialogue through the argument of wisdom - Access to the cosmic and interfaith dialogue through life situations The second experiment was to propose a set of images gathered them focus cosmic religion which allows to bypass differences Streptococcus and reconciliation through interfaith rights. Some of these images represents the status of religion in life and allows for a pattern of interfaith dialogue called commitment to dialogue . Most reactions allowed Balbarh cosmic consciousness that makes possible dialogue between religions . - Access to a global and inter-religious dialogue through cosmic morality We have prepared four documents is a major religions extracts , have been exported all recap the central principle of the universal ethic . Been divided into chapters to research groups on each of them embark on a study summary deeply and then compared to the general principles of each religion to the general principles of Islam , both in terms of monotheism , morality or the relationship with the other. Inspiration for a project stems from the " read key texts to absorb and understand one's thoughts and duties as perceived by some civilizations humanitarian mission , which is the basis of moral understanding between cultures . " The focus is on the points that combine messages in order to develop a sense of empathy . Across most of the students who participated in this experiment for surprise them and cheer them , although it is not enough to give them the perceptions of a wide and clear for other religions , and stressed that it is important in the first stage is to break the psychological barrier and gain estimated mental and spiritual study of other religions in multifactorial own , and the moral courage to questioning some perceptions " Orthodox " that make a world of religion itself is closed and separated from humanity. But a lot of them said at the same time talk about other religions remains for them, something raises concern psychologically because of the negative Alastihamat to which they relate . - Access to a global and inter-religious dialogue through comparative mysticism This experiment was completed educational center and talk to the Regional Occupations Education and Training in Oujda, aims to engage in the so-called intelligent mystic intelligence mystique where dialogue is established through the spirit of mysticism and gratitude as a gateway towards the shared spirit . We aim to uncover the deep symmetries and cosmic mystical experience that allows founded Streptococcus despite their differences , since " we can compare the religions beam lines of the circuit, all converge at one point , then approaching those lines from the center of the circle ." Was selected group of poetic texts that belong to the heritage of Sufi Muslim and Christian , have been organized in the form of themes : love, patio , Union , flood , floor, nostalgia , irony language . We've provided these texts without any referral source or references, religious , and in the second phase, we asked the students, professors, and then compare them to distinguish between the Islamic and Christian texts . Epilogue Allowed the overall educational experiences that we've made to reveal the depth of the crisis of the relationship between the religions in the world are supposed to contribute to the communication in the cosmic convergence of civilizations and beliefs . There is no doubt that the thinking of the relationship between the youth and interfaith dialogue is an urgent need , on the one hand because the behavior talk show is the best way to immunize young people against Astelabat religious extremism or -religious , on the other hand , because the involvement of young people in dialogue can give him a new dynamic and establishes a paradigm Horaa new ends to the idea that all religions " and the significance of her role in Aijaaan year trodden path of God to humanity , as evidenced by the history of salvation ," which means a path to self-criticism and review some of the ideas that were a justification for the violence that impersonating the Bible. But we believe that our contribution Profile humble through this research is to emphasize that interfaith dialogue will not turn to the behavior of a civilized and effective Historical did not find him an extension organically through the institutions of socialization and education , especially school that can make him Aqtdara cognitive and behavior humanly , turning dialogue with the other to a dialogue with the other self evokes dignity as a human being incomplete and acknowledges that " human beings make up one thing for the attention of their God ." We proposed a set of experiments is no doubt that it is not enough , especially in the midst of an educational not welcome such initiatives , does not help to do , and is still the subject of religions Allamvkr part of it and thus do not have to think about it . There is no doubt that in general the dialogue of civilizations , and the dialogue of religions, in particular , is the hope of the youth but youth is also the hope of dialogue.

End: Tuesday 11th of March 2014 12:00:14 AM
Location: 4245 East Avenue, Rochester, NY 14618, , US
The Brian and Jean Hickey Center recognizes the importance of Interfaith discussion and dialogue, especially so in today’s youth. By teaching the youth about interfaith dialogue, and exposing them to even their own stereotypes, a foundation for peace and understanding of diversity is laid down. The youth that are exposed to this unique set of skills are able to go and implement what they have learned about acceptance of diversity in their community and further into our pluralistic world. The Hickey Center works towards these goals through the Global Citizenship Conference. The Global Citizenship Conference is a full-day conference that is geared towards high school students, and is designed to give the future leaders of our world the tools to respond to intolerance, improve religious literacy, and possess the etiquette required to work in a pluralistic world. Ever since 2011, this annual event has grown exponentially. Last year over 500 students from local high schools attended the event. By listening to keynote speakers and attending workshops of their choice, students are able to learn and experience Interfaith Dialogue with the diversity that is found around them that day. Students are given the chance to choose which workshop they would like to attend by filling out a preference sheet prior to the event. This way the student is able to attend a workshop and learn about a topic that appeals to them on a much deeper level. Students that attend the conference will become more aware of the diversity of cultural and religious traditions and belief systems that exist and how they shape people’s lives. The youth will learn about a religious tradition/belief system with which they are unfamiliar, helping them to gain an understanding and dispel any existing stereotypes. By extinguishing stereotypes the youth will become more aware of healthy ways of responding to conflict in order to better promote understanding. The students will encounter a safe environment where they can become aware of, and dialogue about, issues of religious intolerance that have occurred in their schools and communities. By the end of the day the students that attended the event will have the fundamental guidelines and etiquette to help them interact respectfully in a pluralistic world. Leading up to the event the youth are able to participate in a different way. The Hickey Center hosts meeting every month starting in September in order to plan for the event. These meetings are open to any of the youth that are interested in getting involved with the administrative aspects of the Global Citizenship Conference. By participating in the planning of the event the youth get a chance to have their voices heard and are able to make an impact on how successful the event is. Coming to the meeting allows for the students to engage in interfaith work that they can further carry with them beyond the event. https://www.facebook.com/Nazareth.College.CISD
