The program was launched in April 2013 with the conduct of INTRA-FAITH DIALOGUE workshops that prepared Muslims and Christians separately (within their respective faith groups) to dialogue with one another in the grassroots barangays of Dungguan, Dualing and Pagangan (in the municipality of Aleosan) , and Baliki (in the municipality of Midsayap). The INTRA-Faith Dialogue workshops were held in July 2013, and these inspired the creation of the SALAM and SHALOM INTRA-FAITH COMMUNITY DIALOGUE CIRCLES in the four (4) aforementioned barangays. The Muslim and Christian participants of the workshop program in those barangays met with the respective members of their faith group every other week. They reflected on the teachings of their faith concerning Love and Forgiveness, and discussed how they (as followers of Islam and Christianity) can live up to those teachings and ideals in order to build mutually respectful and collaborative relationships with non-believers, and promote peace and harmony in their midst.
