February 4th 2018 INTERFAITH HARMONY MARATHON 2018 “Run Of Faith and Praise “ Aim; Schools Sanitations For Better Health Promoting a more just and compassionate society The Harmony Week Marathon is to take place on 4th February 2018 in Kampala. The “Run of Faith & praise” is aimed at aiding Schools Sanitation for a Better Health project. An initiative of IHNU and the proceeds from the marathon will go towards building toilets, providing water tanks, sanitation sensitizing billboards/notice boards etc in rural schools. Starting/Finishing point for the run is Star times Stadium Lugogo.

Commemoration of World Interfaith Harmony Week

This week is timely for Uganda considering that February is also the month when the general elections will be held in the country and, therefore, messages of harmony and tolerance among all the political contestants and everybody should be promoted. In Uganda, this day is being commemorated in Muyenga on February 1, by the Nile Dialogue Platform, an organisation promoting interfaith and intercultural peaceful coexistence. This day is very relevant to Uganda because research shows nearly nine out of 10 Ugandans say religion plays a key role in their lives.
