On 27 February 2018 Mekong Dialogue Institute co-organized with Danmission in cooperation with Ministry of Cults and Religion and other interfaith organizations celebrated the World Interfaith Harmony Week on the topic “Peace and Sustainable development” at La Varenne Hotel. The program aims to promote the peace in the interreligious environment in Cambodia and also to create a platform of understanding of one another with the diversity of faiths and cultures.

Cambodia celebrates World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) this year from 2nd-4th February 2018 at Samroung, Oddormeanchey Province. Cambodian Interfaith Harmony among Humanity

Welcome speeches by local officer from Department of Religious and Cult, District chief, School director, District forestry officer, and ACT executive director; they share about faiths history and world interfaith harmony week, faiths situation in Cambodia, how Cambodia chose the topic on natural resources environment as we facing with deforestation in Cambodia so our topic is \"Harmony among People-Harmony with Nature\" as our theme. Faith leaders representation from Buddhist, Christian, and Muslim come for share their religious perspective on natural resources and how each of their faith contribute to peace in Cambodia society. Questions and comments were open for asking these religious representative and all happen with more close and aware-understand each other. About 500 trees were planted at difference area by introduction from the expertise of the forestry in each communities.
