Report 4b: Sprogcafe or Learning Danish Language with lesson content related to WIFWH

In by Elizabeth P. Olesen

This is the second session on February 28, taking up lessons on historical figures in our time who have contributed to the work for peace, justice and freedom. The session started with songs of love and frienship and using the text of the songs as models for making their own sentence structures in Danish language. Giving attention to their levels of acquisition of the Danish language, materials were also prepared for their readings and conversation with their teacher on Mother Therese, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King. There was also reference to some articles on Human Rights from the Universal Declaration of Human rights translated into simple Danish language for them to learn and read and take as assignment for the next session. There was role play on the Story of the Good Samaritan. See the full report as enclosed.
