Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has said that they will continue their struggle for interfaith harmony, dialogue, peace, tolerance and coexistence. In his message on the occasion of the World Interfaith Harmony Week, he said that the World Week is being celebrated from February 1 to 7, 2026. On this occasion, we express our resolve to continue our struggle for interfaith harmony, dialogue, peace, tolerance and coexistence.Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said that Alhamdulillah, our beloved country Pakistan has a society that is rich in religious, cultural, linguistic and ethnic diversity. Our religion, our constitution and law teach full respect for the rights of all humanity. He said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees religious freedom and equal rights to all citizens, regardless of religion or belief.Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said that on the occasion of the World Interfaith Harmony Week, we express our determination to fully implement the code of conduct given in the Constitution of Pakistan and the Message of Pakistan. He said that we also announce to struggle side by side with our armed forces and security institutions to thwart every attempt to create intolerance and division among the Pakistani nation and to eradicate extremism and terrorism
