Join the people of different faiths and cultures as we meander through the gardens and learn about the creation of the Lake Wendouree Wetlands. The concept of this event is for people of different faiths or no particular faith at all toThe concept of this event is for people of different faiths or no particular faith at all tocome together in their mutual appreciation for the peace that can be felt when in harmony with nature. This will be lead by a Welcome to Country given by local Wadawurrung, Deanne Gilson,This will be lead by a Welcome to Country given by local Wadawurrung, Deanne Gilson,followed by a talk on the concept she had when creating her Indigenous sculpture that was installednear the wetlands at the lake early last year. Following Deanne’s address, Hedley Thompson,community representative on the City of Ballarat planning committee for the creation of thewetlands, will lead a walk through the area, explaining the thinking behind the creation.At the conclusion, all participants are invited to share in a relaxed picnic lunch.
