An interfaith event exploring how we can support each other in facing the climate crisis One of a series of events by Interfaith Glasgow marking World Interfaith Harmony Week As the urgency of the climate crisis becomes increasingly apparent and the scale of impending suffering and loss more widely understood, and as Glasgow prepares to host the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26) UN Climate Summit in November, this event invites people from diverse backgrounds to come together for dialogue on some key aspects of the challenge we face and to explore what an effective interfaith response might look like. We will hear from: Zarina Ahmad, Climate Change Environmentalist, CEMVO Scotland: What can we do together to encourage lifestyle change? Stop Climate Chaos Scotland: How can we facilitate interfaith engagement with the UN Climate Summit COP26 in Glasgow this year? Rev David Coleman, Environmental Chaplain, Eco Congregation Scotland: How can we counter despair and anxiety and nurture hope and resilience? Bill Crook, Earth Holders, Extinction Rebellion, Edinburgh Inter Faith Association Does the climate crisis call for civil disobedience? There will be plenty of time for interfaith dialogue on the issues raised and tea, coffee and cake will be served. All are welcome!
