Nazareth University will host a special interfaith seminar featuring a panel of three speakers representing the Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, to explore the enduring significance of Nostra Aetate, the landmark 1965 declaration of the Second Vatican Council. Meaning “In Our Age,” Nostra Aetate transformed the Catholic Church’s relationship with non-Christian religions by affirming respect for diverse faith traditions and calling for deeper understanding and dialogue among religious communities. Through conversation and reflection, panelists will examine how the emphasis on shared values, dignity, and inclusion continues to shape interfaith engagement today and why fostering mutual respect across religious boundaries remains essential in our world.
