Pakistan is a country with diverse faiths but a vast majority of Muslims comprising of almost 96% of the total population. Also, incidents of religious intolerance have been observed in Pakistan at multiple times. To Promote Co-existence and tolerance among faiths, also to celebrate World Interfaith Harmony Week, an interfaith harmony brunch is to be organized on February 13th, 2025 at St. Sebastian Cathedral. The Interfaith Harmony Brunch, would be a significant gathering, bringing together esteemed religious and multi-faith leaders to foster unity, dialogue, and collective action from Muslim, Christian and Hindu Faiths. The event will begin with an Interfaith Dialogue, where faith-based leaders from diverse religious backgrounds will engage in meaningful discussions to promote mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation. This dialogue will serve as a platform for exchanging perspectives, addressing common challenges, and reinforcing the values of peace and coexistence. Following this, participants will take part in the Harmony Brunch, a symbolic act of inclusivity and diversity, where leaders from different faiths will share a meal, reflecting the spirit of unity and togetherness. The main session will feature the Declaration to support Interfaith Harmony, during which religious leaders will formally sign a commitment to promote interfaith unity, tolerance, and collaboration through their respective platforms, ensuring that the message of harmony extends beyond the event itself. The final session will be the Plantation Activity, where religious leaders will plant trees in Cathedral as a symbol of their shared commitment to environmental responsibility and climate action. This initiative will emphasize the importance of sustainability and reinforce the message that protecting the planet is a collective duty that transcends religious and cultural boundaries. Through this event, Signify aims to promote peace, solidarity, and environmental consciousness, fostering a society built on respect, inclusivity, and shared responsibility.
