Irish Celtic Traditions March 15, 2020 Springtime April 19, 2020 Dawn Kolden has a Master’s Degree in Teaching Theatre from University of Alaska and B.A. Degree in Theatre and Education. Dawn knows the importance of creating safe boundaries and developing direction to fit the developmental needs of the participants. She was the Education Specialist at the Women’s Shelter in Juneau AK, where she incorporated the performing arts to teach sensitive subjects such as Personal Body Safety, Boundaries, and Healthy Relationships. In addition, she was invited to the Yukon Koyukuk School District as a Teaching Artist to work with the Native Language Specialist and the Alaska Department of Education as a Drama Teacher. She received a mental health grant from Petersburg, Alaska to train as a substance abuse counselor. She has been practicing meditation for 25 years, including Shambhala and Reiki. Dawn is Umze trained and has trained in all the levels of Shambhala Buddhism, the Heart of Warriorship, and the Sacred Path. Dawn is grateful for the opportunity to share the contemplative arts with McCall; which she now calls home; and teach the gentle way of acceptance for self and community. Jayme Gamble is a mom and 20-year ski industry professional interested in creating community among our amazing young citizens in McCall. Jayme has been a Girl Scout Leader for Troop 9 in Donnelly and is currently co-leader for troop 255 in McCall. Jayme has been practicing meditation for 5 years and is excited to work with Dawn in this new venture. Both Dawn and Jayme grew up in youth groups and wish to provide the power and love of a safe community place for youth.
