Freedom of religion is a fundamental human right. And it comes with a responsibility: to respect others.
For #InterfaithHarmonyWeek, we’re breaking down what freedom of religion means and why it matters. Around the world, faith-based communities are coming together to challenge hate, protect human dignity, and build peace.
When this right is denied, dignity and peace are destroyed. Our Office works with faith communities to promote respect, dialogue, and human rights for all.
Faith leaders in places like Cyprus have used the #Faith4Rights framework to stand up for equal access to places of worship and reject hate in the name of religion.
