The Dunedin Interfaith Council is hosting its annual community Interfaith dinner to celebrate World Interfaith Harmony Week.
2023 marks the ninth concurrent year that the event has been held in Dunedin and draws a gathering of around 100-150 people from a wide range of ethnic and religious communities, including our migrant and refugee communities. The event creates an extraordinary opportunity for people of all races, religions, cultures, creeds and beliefs to share their favourite dishes and socialise over a pot-luck meal.
After the shared main meal, there is a short program of speakers, music and entertainment, followed by dessert. This year, the keynote speaker will be Deputy Mayor Sophie Barker who will be speaking to the theme of 'Interfaith Harmony in Dunedin'.
We warmly welcome one and all to join with us, make new friends and share our unique stories.
