Diversity First! International Christians’ Perspective on Interfaith Relations Public interfaith event co-organized by Sarah Wasti Ayub and Mark Philip Stadler in collaboration with members of the Reformed Church in Copenhagen and the International Church of Copenhagen (ICC) Date & time: 4 February 2020, 16.00-18.00 hrs Venue: International Church of Copenhagen, St. Andreas Church, Gothersgade 148, 1123 Copenhagen K This event features a panel consisting of a small group of international Christians from the International Church of Copenhagen (ICC) and the Reformed Church in Copenhagen who share their perspective on interfaith relations. The focus of the discussion is on multi-faceted aspects of diversity including but not limited to what it means to be a Christian as a minority (in f.ex. a Muslim-majority country) as well as interfaith aspects concerning personal relationships, state, society and politics. We hope to have a lively dialogue about diversity and interfaith relations with the attendants of this event. Biographical note about the organizers: Sarah W. Ayub is a member of International Church of Copenhagen. She has spent most of her life as a religious minority in Pakistan studying and writing on subjects like Interfaith Harmony, Conflict and Peace Studies etc. She has also organized events in these interrelated fields; one titled 'Interfaith Harmony in the Context of Coexistence' in collaboration with Diocese of Raiwind, Church of Pakistan and Young Women's Christian Association. Mark P. Stadler, lector at the Reformed Church in Copenhagen, has studied Southeast Asian Studies in Bonn, Singapore, Leiden and is currently PhD Fellow in the field in Copenhagen. Throughout his studies, he has co-organized various interfaith activities including high-level interfaith events in collaboration with the Danish Foreign Ministry, the Indonesian Embassy in Copenhagen as well as with Tro I Harmoni, of which he is a member since 2018.
