Welcome to this World Interfaith Harmony Week series of Creating Sacred Space:  Awakening the Heart. We are offering interactive sessions where we create sacred space based on multiple faith traditions and cultures. Through these we can awaken the heart to be a source of harmony, peace, inner strength, and compassion.  By awakening and healing our own heart, we can be a source of healing for others, thereby inspiring service to all LIFE:  Love In Full Expression.  Just as we can open up to the same sky through windows of different shapes and colours, there are many pathways to awakening the heart and mind through sacred space and healing.

Title:  Becoming the Vessel:  A Contemplative Practice on Emptying and Filling.
Faith Tradition:  Interfaith
Host: Steve
Description:
Inspired by Margaret Somerville’s book:  When Prayer Doesn’t Work

What does it mean to become a vessel—open, receptive, and deeply connected to the divine within and around us? Inspired by the chapter Emptied Space from When Prayer Doesn’t Work, this contemplative practice invites participants into gentle practices of creating sacred space, emptying, and filling.

Through quiet reflection, guided imagery, and simple embodied exercises, we explore the movement from depletion to connection, from emptiness to creative emergence. Together we will practice recognizing the sacred in the ordinary, attending to what fills our vessels, and allowing space for what wishes to be born within us.
