Mosaic: Interfaith Youth Action is proud to submit our Bridges Program for recognition during UN World Interfaith Harmony Week. This initiative fosters understanding and allyship among youth from diverse religious backgrounds by engaging them in interfaith dialogue, collaborative text analysis, and artistic expression.
On February 9th, 45 youth from the Abrahamic traditions—Judaism, Christianity, and Islam—will come together for a special Bridges session focused on the theme of Family through an interfaith lens. Participants will engage in a guided text study, exploring sacred scriptures and traditions from their respective faiths that emphasize the importance of family, community, and intergenerational wisdom. Through facilitated discussion, youth will reflect on common values and the ways their traditions shape their understanding of family life and responsibility.
Following the dialogue, participants will collaborate on an art piece inspired by their discussions, using visual storytelling to express shared and unique perspectives on family across their faiths. This collective artwork will be displayed at the Boston Children’s Museum starting in April, offering the broader community an opportunity to witness the power of interfaith connection and creative expression.
The Bridges Program exemplifies the spirit of UN World Interfaith Harmony Week by creating meaningful interactions among young people, fostering mutual respect, and inspiring collaboration across religious differences. Through dialogue and art, these youth are building bridges that transcend division, demonstrating the transformative impact of interfaith engagement in our communities.
