A local initiative of the growing interfaith movement will take place on Saturday 23rd of February, as Hobart hosts its own interfaith festival. With the title “1 DAY”, this interfaith outreach festival will be a celebration of the diversity and richness of human spirituality and the world’s faith traditions while promoting the essential oneness of the human need for transcendence, peace, and happiness.
The theme of the festival is: “In today’s troubled world, how can religious peace, unity, and harmony be achieved?” This will be discussed by speakers from the Christian, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist, Bahai, and aboriginal communities here in Hobart. These presentations will be interspersed by several musical and cultural performances from a variety of Hobart groups. In addition, the festival will offer for purchase a delicious selection of locally prepared foods and refreshments. There will also be a mini expo of some of the spiritual groups currently meeting in Hobart.
The 1 DAY INTERFAITH FESTIVAL will be a family-friendly, free event to be held at the Hobart Town Hall from 10am to 5pm. We are grateful for the support we have received from the Hobart City Council. Please join us for this momentous celebration of spiritual diversity and oneness.
