I am writing to express my profound and unwavering support for the annual observance of the World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW) from February 1st to 7th, 2026. This initiative, established by the United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/RES/65/5, stands as a critical and timely reminder of the fundamental values that bind humanity together.

In an increasingly complex and interconnected global landscape, the principles at the core of WIHW—namely, the recognition of the shared commandments of “Love of God and Love of the Neighbor” or “Love of the Good and Love of the Neighbor”—provide a universal foundation for peace. This annual focus is more vital than ever in countering division, misunderstanding, and intolerance.I recognize the powerful role that dialogue, mutual respect, and cooperation among people of diverse faiths play in fostering inclusive, resilient, and peaceful societies.I believe that by actively promoting this culture of peace and understanding, we contribute directly to the global movement toward dignity and equality for all people.

I commend the enduring leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan and all global partners who continue to advance this crucial agenda. I look forward to observing a successful and impactful World Interfaith Harmony Week in 2026.
