Three films ‘Especiales’ (2019), ‘Inch’Allah’ (2012) and ‘Timbuktu’ (2014) were screened in the Auditorium of the Old Teachers’ College, They were shown on 3 separate evenings and then followed up with discussion panel.
Prize Giving Ceremony at the Jordanian Embassy in Spain
On the morning of June 23rd, at 11:30 AM, representatives from the University of Jaén and the Bahá’í Community of Spain visited the Jordanian Embassy in Spain to receive the Third Prize for the HM King Abdullah II World Interfaith Harmony Week Award.
The delegation included Marta Torres, Vice-Rector for Culture; Hikmate Abriouel, Vice-Rector for Official Education; Clarisa Nieva, Director of the Public Affairs Office of the Bahá’í Community of Spain; Nuria Vahdat, Director of Relations with the Government and Civil Society Organizations and member of the Public Affairs Office; along with other representatives.
The group was warmly welcomed by the ambassador, Mrs. Raghad Al Saqqa, and enjoyed a memorable and heartfelt meeting. Discussions focused on the values, attitudes, and initiatives that promote a culture of peace among humanity. The delegation also shared details about the university’s film series, highlighting its objectives and the significant impact it has had both within the University of Jaén and in the broader community of the city.
During the visit, they expressed deep admiration for HM King Abdullah II and HRH Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, whose speeches eloquently demonstrate their profound commitment to global peace. They extended their heartfelt respect and prayers for divine blessings upon the Royal Family.
Receiving the certificate and bronze medal from the ambassador was described as a great honour. The delegation conveyed sincere thanks to everyone at the embassy for their kindness and gracious hospitality.
