The Second Prize was formally awarded during a ceremony held on July 21, 2025, at the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Washington, D.C. Her Excellency Dina Kawar, Ambassador of Jordan to the United States, presented the silver medal, certificate, and prize cheque on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan.

The event was attended by representatives of the winning organizations, including Sarah Caroline, Fatima Raza, and Shaul Osachey, and celebrated the shared global commitment to mutual respect, peace, and interfaith harmony.

In 2025, the American Leadership Forum – Houston/Gulf Coast Chapter (ALF Houston) was awarded the Second Prize for their outstanding celebration of United Nations World Interfaith Harmony Week. With the support of 25 diverse community partners, ALF Houston organized a week-long series of events under the theme “Walking, Talking, Working Together.” This initiative exemplified a powerful commitment to dialogue, collaboration, and unity across faith and cultural boundaries.

Throughout the week, the events were open to the public and included a range of activities that fostered meaningful connections between individuals and groups from Houston’s vibrant faith landscape. The programming emphasized shared values, mutual respect, and the common good, in alignment with the core principles of WIHW.

Highlights included community dialogues, shared meals, and service opportunities—each designed to create space for relationship-building, deeper understanding, and cooperative action. By empowering leaders and community members to engage with one another across lines of difference, ALF Houston not only honored the spirit of WIHW but also contributed to lasting bridges of trust and solidarity in one of the most diverse cities in the United States.
