World Interfaith Harmony Week takes place the first week of February each year

e’re in the midst of the 2020 World Interfaith Harmony Week (WIHW), proposed by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2010. WIHW takes place the first week of February and is for interfaith groups and other groups of goodwill to show the world that our common values as humans far outweigh our differences.

Last year, I was asked to create daily missions of goodwill to inspire interested individuals to up their awareness of the purpose of the week. Successful, I was asked to repeat my efforts this year.

Each day, I post a short, entertaining video I’ve produced, each less than three minutes long, from the HEARTquarters of the International Kindness Team (get it, HEARTquarters instead of headquarters?). I play a character I created seven years ago, an unnamed secret agent who is responsible for communicating “secret missions of compassion” to agents in the field.

This year, I’ve simplified the missions by summarizing the overall message in haikus, each one adapted from David Gershon’s vision of “Seven Actions to Create Peace on Earth.”

Seven days of World Interfaith Harmony Week , seven actions to create peace on earth, seven daily missions, seven haikus.

What follows are the haikus. Beneath each are links to the videos I produced for each haiku. For even more context, along with access to dozens of positive missions I’ve created over the years, I invite you to visit my “Secret Agent of Compassion” website.
