WAMALA WARD INTERFAITH COMMUNITY REPORT ON PRAYERS TO MARK THE 2023 INTERFAITH HARMONY WEEK

On Sunday 5th December, 2021-  Friends of Canon Gideon Foundation (FOCAGIFO) entered into and launched a formal partnership with Wamala Ward Community leaders and members plus those of the  neighboring Wards to form the  COMMUNITY ADVOCATES FOR HEALTH, SECURITY &DEVELOPMENT (CA4HSD) coordinated  by  the Office of the LC2 Chairman, Wamala  with   Coordination Support from the Rev Canon Prof Gideon B Byamugisha.  Thework of these Community Level Advocates resulted in the Birth of Wamala Ward Interfaith Community whose 2022 Interfaith Harmony Week Prayer Activities won The 2022 King Abdullah 11 World Intrfaith Harmony Week Second Prize  Award    The main focus  of our  2023 World Interfaith Harmony Week Activities  was to mobilize our youths of faith, their parents and guardians, their spiritual mentors and cultural custodians, health service providers and researchers, business financiers and innovators , community leaders and societal governors  (in an inter-faith, inter-community, inter-political party and inter-generational manner) to work together on issues of common challenge .  Our target is to make a statistically significant contribution to Ending Inequalities of Service Access  for  (a) Improved Youth, Family  & Community  Health (b) Deepened Youth  Safety, Family  & Community Security and (c) Enhanced Youth  Development, Family  & Community Transformation to end AIDS and intersecting vulnerabilities faster.  The Days events were held successfully and the report is attached
