The Sri Chinmoy Oneness-Home Peace Run held an event to kick off World Interfaith Harmony Week in collaboration with the Puja Mandala interfaith center in Nusa Dua, Bali. A group of over 100 international runners and peace enthusiasts affiliated with the Peace Run were welcomed at Puja Mandala by leaders from the Muslim, Roman Catholic, Protestant, Buddhist and Hindu houses of worship represented there. Dignitaries participating included Prof. Dr. Haryono Suryono, former State Minister for social development of Indonesia, and Prince Dipokusumo and Princess Febri of the royal house of Surakarta, Java. At each house of worship, the international group invited the faith leader to hold the Peace Torch and offer a prayer for peace, and then the group sang a song written for that faith by Sri Chinmoy, the founder of the Peace Run. It was an inspiring and uplifting occasion for all.
