Young Jains of America (YJA) - Mid-West Region and Trotter Multicultural Center's Interfaith Program are co-hosting a service and learning event focusing on homelessness and teachings from the Jain religion. There will be a service activity of tied fleece blankets, which will be donated individuals experiencing homelessness. Additionally there will be a brief presentation on the Jain Bhavanas, or contemplations, as it relates to understanding and responding to homelessness. Blanket supplies and snacks (vegetarian and following Jain dietary laws) will be provided. The event will take place in the Sankofa lounge, on the main level of Trotter Multicultural Center from 3-5pm. For accessibility, dietary, or other questions please contact Ashley Schnaar at [email protected]. Please register here: https://myumi.ch/7ZkGA
