Songs of the Heart Friday, 1st February, 19:00-21:00 Meditative concert with spiritual songs and instrumental music from different religions. Friendship across religions Sunday, 3rd February, 13:00-14:30 Bent Melchior, rabbis emeritus, and Özlem Cekic, bridge builder and former member of Parlament, tell about their dialogue work and their friendship across religions. Organised with Dan Uzan's Memorial Fund. Open house in Imam Ali Mosque Sunday, 3rd February, 14:00-16:00 The afternoon offers a tour of the mosque's rooms. There will be good opportunity to buy books, try a scarf and talk to a volunteers from the mosque. Faith, hope and hair Sunday, 3rd February, 15:00-17:00 Presentation and panel dialogue by Mia Rahr Jacobsen, vicar, Aminah Tønnsen, Muslim author, and Robin May Schott, researcher and founder of Shir Hatzafon, a progressive Jewish congregation, which in 2011 got a female rabbi. Meditation for all - believers and non-believers Monday, 4th February, 17:00-17:30 Meditation is a universal practice. Meditation is a form of prayer, now you have the opportunity to meet The World Community for Christian Meditation, which was founded by Benedictine monk John Main OSB, who, as a young man shortly after World War II, was stationed in Malaysia. Here an Indian monk, Swami Satyananda, taught him to meditate using a mantra. "Just because that" Monday, 4th February, 19:00-20:00 Lecture with Knud Lindholm Lau, communication teacher and advisor. Knud Lindholm Lau earlier this year published the book "Just because that". He will in particular be talking about how religions and their followers are addressed in social media and the public debate. Noah's pudding in Brorson's Church Tuesday, 5th February, 19:00-21:00 An evening of reflection, dialogue and pudding. Noah plays a significant role in all three Abrahamic religions. In some Muslim circles, there is a tradition of eating a special dessert / pudding in memory of the meal that Noah ate before going ashore with his family after his stay in the ark. The evening starts in the church room with reflections from Christian and Muslim perspective. Lecture with Naveed Baig Wednesday, 6th February, 14:00-16:00 The lecture series "Purpose, beliefs & ethics" in the Elia's Church invite hospital imam, Naveed Baig, to tell about his work. Naveed will also talk about what it means to be imam in today's Denmark and what advantages and challenges there are when you represent a minority religion. Dialogue dinner with Danmission Wednesday, 6th February, 17:30-19:30 Come and taste the dialogue! Danmission has designed a dialogue toolbox with inspiration and guidance on how to put together dialogue workshops. This evening you will be presented with the thoughts and experiences of religious dialogue. Subsequently, we will share a meal with each other - and get an impression of what the dialogue can do. Genesis and evolution theory Thursday, 7th February, 17:00-18.30 Come this late afternoon and hear Bent Melchior, rabbis emeritus, tell about Genisis and evolution theory. It won't be boring! Meditative practice from three religions by three women Thursday, 7th February, 18:00-21.00 Meditation on love and compassion from the Metta sutra by bhikshuni Tenzin Drolkar, who is Buddhist nun. Raja meditation with open eyes by meditation teacher Sonja Ohlsson, Brahma Kumaris. Bible meditation. We read a Bible text and reflect our life in it by Elisabeth Lidell, pilgrim priest.
