CARAVAN / 1-630-347-8030"Beyond Bridges" is an interfaith visual art exhibition at Duke University Chapel curated by CARAVAN that showcases 21 works by Arab, Persian and Jewish contemporary artists from countries of Muslim, Christian and Jewish backgrounds. Its theme is what "bridges" people to one another, as well as what the three faiths of the artists hold in common across their different creeds and cultures. The exhibition will be on display in Duke Chapel's main sanctuary (the nave) from February 5 through February 26, 2017. The exhibition is free and open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily. An opening panel and reception for the exhibition will be held at the Chapel on Sunday, February 5, at 6:00 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. "Beyond Bridges" is organized by CARAVAN, an interfaith peace-building arts nonprofit. The 21 participating artists through Beyond Bridges are making the case for using that which we have in common as the foundation for the future of our world. The ultimate objective of the exhibition is for it to serve as an “encounter point”, encouraging and enabling new relationships to be made across religions and cultures.
