A WORKSHOP IS TO BE HELD BY YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT COMMUNITY INITIATIVE GROUP(YECIG) CAMEROON ON MALERIA WITH THE STUDENT OF PRESBYTERIAN YOUTH CENTRE,LIMBE ON THE 5TH FEBUARY 2014.

The Paulistanos Movement for Peace Inter-Faith Group will meet in the City Chamber to discuss how to help the Paulistanos Peace Movement to offer solutions to the City Counciller to reduce the violence.

Sarajevo is famous because it is European Jerusalem. It is a city where world four major religions meet, and together, live a life made of harmony, peace and tolerance. But unfortunately Sarajevo is also famous because of assassination to Archduke of Austria Franz Ferdinand that happens 100 year ago and after that First World War start. Also more than 20 years ago there was war and the longest siege of the capital city in the history of modern warfare. Now youth people coming from different religions and spiritual background come together to send messages of peace and celebrate World Interfaith Harmony Week showing that they can be the change which they want to see in the world.

2 February, Sunday: Global light chain for Peace and harmony among faiths. 2 February, Sunday: Special light ceremony in Church with Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist and Jewish guests. 4 February, Tuesday: Søren Kirkegaard and Sufi Islamic philosophy, Lecture held at Mosque. 6 February, Thursday: Different Prayer Practices, Event about the prayer practice in Islam, Buddhism, Judaism and Christianity. During week: Initiation of year long dialogue project between Muslim, Jewish and Christian schools in Copenhagen area.

An observance of World Interfaith Harmony Week 2014 will take place at the Malaysia Peace Embassy on Feb. 9. After invocations by leaders of various religions, YBhg Tan Sri Dr. Devaki Krishnan will give a special address, and Mr. Jochim Ng will talk about "Rebuilding the Malaysia Family."

An observance of World Interfaith Harmony Week will take place at the Vienna International Center on Feb. 7. Speakers on the theme of the Role of Religions in Promoting a Culture of Peace will include religious representatives, academics, journalists, and leaders of NGOs. Advance registration is required in order to enter this UN building.

URI SEAPac will be co-sponsoring with De La Salle University (one of the best universities in the Philippines in terms of academic excellence) a World Cafe on February 7 in observance of 2014 WIHW. This will participated by students from different faiths. Our theme is: "Interfaith Tomorrow from the Lens of The Youth Today."

Faiths Together Uganda will hold a gathering at Goma Health Center III and pray for the sick, organize a blood donation drive, provide HIV testing, and paint the center’s building. Faiths Together Uganda’s cultural performers will perform traditional dances from the West Nile and some parts of the North East of the Congo, as well as the Kiganda Dance from Central Uganda, then the Pot Dance from Northern Uganda.

Interfaith Winter Retreat, an all-day retreat on “Prayer Expressions in World Traditions,” will be from 8:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Shepherd’s Spring Retreat Center in Shepherdstown, W.Va. Experience how different religious faiths pray such as Muslim, Buddhist and Judeo-Christian. The cost is $35 or $40 on the day of the event.
