Interfaith Film Festival - London 2014 Hosted by Interfaith Focus The Lexi Cinema, 194b Chamberlayne Road, Kensal Rise, London NW10 3JU Sunday 23 March 2014 at 2:30pm "Serving Life" (2011) Documentary about prisoners in Louisiana USA who look after dying prisoners in hospice care inside the prison. Very moving and compassionate, with Christians and Muslims working together. Produced by Oprah Winfrey's OWN Network, narrated by Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker, and distributed by the Odyssey TV Network - the largest Interfaith TV network in the world. Guest speaker for Q&A: Nick Stuart, executive producer of "Serving Life" and CEO of Odyssey Networks from New York. Wednesday 23rd April 2014 at 6:30pm "The Other Son" (2012) Fictional drama about two 18-year old boys in Haifa, Israel, who were accidentally switched at birth. Closing Forum of the World Interfaith Harmony Week - Colombia 2013 and 2014

Since 2012, the Manhig of Shéggel Rabbi Richard Gamboa Ben-Eleazar, has convocated to leaders of several faiths and spiritualities in order to celebrate prayer exchanges and academic meetings to encouraging a culture of interfaith peace as a basis for peace in Colombia. The WIHW Colombia 2014 was supported by several interfaith colectives, specialy by the Confederation of the Children of Abraham, with the leadership of Rabbi Gamboa. On Feb. 8, the Closing Event was celebrated at the Embassy of Peace in Colombia, with a panel about "Viewpoints of Abraham from Several Faiths", with the presence of the members of the Confederation of the Children of Abraham. Members of another faiths were presents. Rabbi Gamboa, in his quality of convovater, did proclaim the official closing of The WIHW Colombia 2014 with the traditional jewish blessing.

Opening Reception: An Exhibition of Photography by Frank Fredericks

Frank Fredericks is the founder of World Faith, a global network of interfaith initiatives countering religious violence and extreme poverty. This exhibit, hosted by the NYU Center for Spiritual Life, showcases photographs of people and places encountered during Frank's travels. The exhibit will run from mid-March to mid-April, with an opening reception on March 12th. Light refreshments will be served.

Working Group of Interfaith for Peace (WGIP) joint cooperation with 15 national and international organization in Cambodia which work closely to Peacebuilding in Cambodia among divers faith was celebrate the World interfaith Harmony Week which held on 1st of February 2014 took place in Phnom Penh city to Promote Interfaith Cooperation on Sustainable Development in Phnom Penh city, Cambodia. The purpose of the event is to celebrate the world interfaith harmony week for the faith cooperation engages the value of living together as difference culture of faith and tradition. Strengthen solidarity activities among diverse faith through faith sharing, exposure trip to the temple, mosque, and church with planting tree together represent from each religious as a symbol of faiths solidarity and to see how diverse faith can work out together for sustainable development in Cambodia. Why we celebrate the World Interfaith Harmony Week? In September 2010, His Majesty King Abdullah proposed the launch of the World Interfaith Harmony Week at the UN General Assembly, which adopted the initiative. The World Interfaith Harmony Week was proclaimed by the General Assembly through a resolution adopted on 20 October 2010. In the resolution, the General Assembly pointed out that mutual understanding and inter-religious dialogue constitute important dimensions of a culture of peace, and the World Interfaith Harmony Week was established as a way to promote harmony among all people regardless of their faith. The event this year bring together 170 of participants from Buddhist, Islam, and Christian religious who has mission against the violent to integrate and transform conflict into peace started from individual to communities and to the society. The started point of the event from Wat ButTum temple to Toul Tompong Mosque, and to New Life Mission church with shared from each religious leader on their faith working together for sustainable development and open questions and answer were provided to religious leaders and the participants. Participants reflections, were exited to joint such a useful event as they aware many regarding to religious, most of their dark cloud were clear after participates full day interfaith exposure trip. Recognizing the imperative need for a dialogue among different faiths and religions to enhance mutual understanding, harmony and cooperation among the people. Reflect to the political deadlock in Cambodia, this event can be remind to Cambodia political, especially the principle of the state maker must be collaborate with each other to build Cambodia communities into unity, peace, and harmony “People need peace and security both physically and spiritually”.

United Religions Initiative South India Region conducted the following programs for IFHW 2014 1. Candle lighting ceremony for world peace-600 students and teachers participated 2. Painting contest with the theme Inter-religious harmony.125 students from 20 schools attended 3. Inter-school Quiz based on Holy Books 4. Inter-school Elocution 5. Instituted a Peace Award for a person who contributes best for harmony and Peace. Neeleswaram sadasivan was given the award 6. Valedictory Public Meeting where hundreds of people attended

On the occasion of World Interfaith Harmony Week, you are cordially invited to attend an International Leadership Seminar on, “Necessity of Interfaith Harmony and Global Cooperation in Addressing Social Issues”, to be held on February 3, 2014, 6:00 – 9:00 pm, United Nations Centre, 777 United Nations Plaza, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10017; sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation and Sun International Peace Federation. World Interfaith Harmony Week (adopted by United Nations General Assembly Resolution A/65/5 in 2010) reaffirms the role of mutual understanding and inter-religious dialogue as important dimensions of peace, and proclaimed the first week of February every year as the World Interfaith Harmony Week between all religions, faiths and beliefs. The Week was first observed in February 2011. The seminar will provide the opportunity for representatives of various religious communities, faith-based organizations, followers of wisdom traditions and indigenous peoples, to share their insights on necessary elements for world peace, and insights and sharing of expertise in addressing global issues.
