Religions and Human Rights (Day 2)
Dr Edward Kessler will shortly be speaking at the 13th Doha Interfaith Conference 2018 held by the Doha International Center for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Qatar. The theme of the conference is “Religion and Human Rights“. The conference will be held February 20-21, 2018. Undoubtedly, religions fully protect all human rights and make that a well-established principle in their laws that has to be protected and emphasized. Moreover, religions order to address all manifestations of the violation of those rights which – unfortunately – have spread in our world today like the phenomenon of human trafficking, injustice, the suppression of freedoms, victims of war, displacement, exclusion and asylum, blockade, oppression of women and child labor, the decline of freedom of expression and other human rights issues.
