TRAINING OF INTER FAITH RELIGIOUS LEADERS ON MEDIATION (1744)
The Inter-Religious Council of Kenya (IRCK) is the national coalition of the main faith communities in Kenya. Established as a Society under the Societies Act, IRCK is purposed on harnessing the spiritual, moral and social resources of faith communities for peaceful coexistence and interreligious harmony in the country and to address social, economic issues affecting Kenyans. Towards strengthening the capacities and competencies of religious leaders to resolve conflicts, IRCK will conduct a three-day Advanced Mediation Training for religious leaders. The training is initiated in order to strengthen the mediation support capacity of the religious leaders especially in this period when we are heading to the 2017 general elections. The specific objectives of the training are; 1. To provide a platform for religious leaders to acquire practical mediation skills that can be applied in mediation scenarios. 2.
