AMMAN — Jordan adheres to its values and principles, Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh said on Thursday, noting the importance of Al Aqsa Mosque and the Hashemite custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Deputising for Prime Minister Omar Razzaz in a ceremony at the World Interfaith Harmony Week in Amman, Khalaileh called on the international community to be just and fair concerning issues in the Islamic world, especially those related to Jerusalem, Al Aqsa Mosque and Muslim minorities worldwide, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jordanian Interfaith Coexistence Research Centre Executive Director Father Nabil Bader said that “we have learnt harmony, peace and love in Jordan’s mosques, churches and schools”.
